First Aid at Work (FAW) Updates

We have just been made aware of some slight changes to the syllabus of the Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification and both the Emergency Paediatric First Aid and Paediatric First Aid courses. These changes are to take effect from the 1st of January 2017. The changes will not affect those individuals who currently hold the afore mentioned qualifications. Our website will be updated in due course.

Level 3 First Aid at Work (FAW) course


Are you wanting to learn First Aid? Do you need a First Aid at Work certificate for your workplace?

We are holding a Level 3 First Aid at Work course over two weekends. Starting Saturday 9th April 2016.

Course will start at 09.30 and finish at approximately 15.30 on all 3 days.

Price for this course is £130 per person. Discounts are available for block bookings on  all our courses.

You will be taught in a relaxed friendly environment by instructors who are HCPC Registered Paramedics. They have a wealth of knowledge and experience in the area being taught.

First Bike On Scene FBOS

Do you ride a motorbike? Would you know what to do should the unthinkable happened?

We are are holding a First Bike on Scene (FBOS) course in the Preston/Leyland area.

Saturday 19th March 2016.

This is a full day course where you will learn new skills that could help save a fellow bikers life.

Your course will be delivered by Neil and Chris, both HCPC paramedics, and both former Aircrew on the North West Air Ambulance.

They have a wealth of knowledge and can share their experiences in order help you become better at providing

lifesaving first aid.

Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

We have spaces available on two of our upcoming Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) courses. These are taking place in Leyland at Centurion House.

Dates are Tuesday 1st March and Tuesday 15th March 2016.

Price is £49.50 per person, this is a fully inclusive price.

If you are wanting to renew your qualification or you are new to first aid this a great introduction.

We will teach you how to recognise life threatening conditions such as a cardiac arrest etc and be able to deal with them confidently and effectively.

We incorporate into all our courses the use of AED (Automated External Defibrillator). As practising medical professionals we know the positive impact a defibrillator can have on a cardiac arrest, by educating more people in the use of them we are also helping to relieve peoples anxieties associated with the use of them.

All our courses are delivered in a relaxed atmosphere, there is no stupid question. We want you to leave our course feeling confident in the skills and knowledge you have attained.

First Bike On Scene (FBOS)

We are a registered FBOS Training Centre based in the North West.

This course is aimed at bikers who wish to learn a skill that could help save a life.

It is delivered in an informal manner with continuous assessment throughout the day.

Your course will be delivered by HCPC Registered Paramedics who have a wealth of knowledge and experience in dealing with this area of expertise.
